A small AVI of some work in progress has been posted on our Jupiter Ace You Tube channel.

What you can see is some development work which will bring mass storage to the Jupiter Ace computer Using the Vinculum VMUSIC or VDRIVE module.
This module is an easy way to access a USB Flash Drive.
For first steps of development the module is hooked to a to SAM Coupes parallel port of the Comms interface and the machine code is tested using a Jupiter Ace emulator for the SAM Coupe computer.

The emulator is loaded from record 12 from SAM's AtomLite disk system, then the emulator is started. Escape key is pressed to jump back in SAM Coupe's basic to load the Z80 driver code into memory location 9*16384.

Once the Vdriver code is in place we jump back into the Ace emulator. A Jupiter Ace call is made to location 32768 and the Ace's FORTH ROM will be patch to allow loading of tape file from the USB device. As you can see in the clip Ace sudoku.tap is loaded in to memory and executed.
